Export & import
ServoMote lets you export your device configurations as .servomote files (ZIP format). This is useful for creating backups or sharing configurations with others.
Exporting
- Open the export/import screen from the sidebar
- Tap Export
- A
.servomotefile is created containing all your devices and servo configurations - The system share sheet opens — save the file, send it via AirDrop, email, or any other method
The exported file is named servomote-backup-YYYY-MM-DD-HHmmss.zip and contains a JSON file with all your device and servo settings.
Importing
- Open the export/import screen from the sidebar
- Tap Import
- Select a
.servomotefile from your device - Confirm the import — this replaces all your current devices with the imported ones
Importing replaces all existing devices. Make sure to export your current configuration first if you want to keep it.
What's included
The export file contains:
- All device names and Bluetooth device associations
- All servo configurations (name, ID, angles, display type, slider options, conditions)
- Export date and format version
Bluetooth device pairings are not included — you'll need to re-pair your ESP32 after importing on a different phone.
